Content Designer

Content Designer

Job Title: Content Designer
Duration: 6 months
Location: Remote

Job Description

  • Help people understand complex information, weigh tradeoffs, and take their next step with confidence.
  • We’re seeking a senior content designer with experience shipping AI-powered products and designing across complex systems.
  • You’ll connect interface content, structured data, and conversational guidance into clear, useful experiences.
  • This is a hands-on individual contributor role with scope comparable to a senior content designer.  You’ll own a defined set of flows through delivery, partnering with Product Design, Product, and Engineering.

What you’ll do

  • Own content direction and delivery for a defined product scope, from requirements and prototypes through research, implementation review, and launch.
  • Write interface copy and design scripted and conversational flows, including inputs, explanations, progress, uncertainty, recovery, and next steps.
  • Develop reusable templates for insights and explanations, with clear rules for data inputs, assumptions, and consistency between interface and conversation.
  • Define information architecture, navigation, and content hierarchy that help people understand choices and move between connected tasks.
  • Translate customer needs into content requirements, representative examples, and quality criteria; validate data and behavior dependencies with Product and Engineering.
  • Evaluate generated guidance for usefulness, grounding, and consistency. Partner with specialists on model-driven behavior, distinguishing intended interactions from capabilities the system can support.
  • Deliver implementation-ready content and documentation; align disclosures with Legal and review the built experience for clarity, accuracy, and consistency.

What you bring

  • A portfolio demonstrating senior-level content design judgment and meaningful contributions to shipped products.
  • Experience shipping AI-powered products, with examples of how you improved the customer experience through research and evaluation of system behavior.
  • Strong information architecture and systems thinking across multiple surfaces, states, or connected products.
  • Working fluency in how prompts, context, structured data, retrieval, and model limitations affect the experience.
  • Experience developing test cases or evaluation criteria and using findings to improve product quality.
  • The ability to distinguish accurate output from useful guidance—and explain the product implications.
  • Strong cross-functional judgment: you can clarify ambiguous problems, negotiate scope, and move work forward with clear ownership.
  • Excellent writing and interaction design skills, with the ability to make complex information understandable and actionable.

Especially valuable
Experience in model behavior design, prompt prototyping, personalization, or products that help people make complex decisions.
