Job Title: Data Entry, Processing, Review & Verification Specialist
Location: Remote/Hybrid (with potential onsite collaboration in Pierre, SD)
Duration: 36 Months (June 1, 2026 – May 31, 2029)

Job Summary

The Department of Social Services (DSS) is seeking a detail-oriented professional to support data entry, processing, review, and verification activities. The role involves working with healthcare claims data, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing while collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate and timely data entry
  • Review records and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy
  • Process, review, and verify data using systems such as mainframe, Datacap, Provider Enrollment Portal, and File Director
  • Validate claims data using both manual and automated methods
  • Work with healthcare claim forms including CMS-1500 and UB-04 (CMS-1450)
  • Index and organize claims documentation
  • Apply policies and procedures for data processing and verification
  • Conduct provider and stakeholder outreach as needed
  • Monitor task completion against deadlines
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Handle additional administrative and data-related tasks as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in data entry, processing, and verification roles
  • Strong knowledge of claims processing and documentation
  • Hands-on experience with systems such as Datacap, Provider Enrollment Portal, and File Director
  • Familiarity with CMS-1500 and UB-04 (CMS-1450) claim forms
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills for stakeholder interaction
  • Experience in provider enrollment and outreach processes

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with government or healthcare programs
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and data security standards
  • Ability to scale workload based on project demands
  • Experience supporting large-scale data processing operations
