Location: Irvine, CA 92618
Contract Duration: 3 Months
Schedule: Must have availability for 2:00–10:30 PM or 3:00–11:30 PM shifts
Notes: Must have prior dishwasher experience — hospital experience strongly preferred
Position Summary
The Dishwasher contributes to the effective operations of the Food & Nutritional Services (FNS) department by performing dish room duties and supporting various food service areas. The role may include tasks in retail, production, or catering areas as needed. Responsibilities include:
General clean-up of assigned work areas
Dishwashing and maintaining sanitation standards
Assisting with trayline operations
Transporting food to designated service areas
Removing trash and maintaining cleanliness of equipment and workspaces
Following instructions to uphold high standards of service and quality
Preventing waste by adhering to proper chemical usage guidelines and reporting misuse
Required Skills & Experience
Ability to speak, read, and follow verbal directions in English
Prior dishwasher experience (hospital environment preferred)
Ability to work well with others and complete assigned tasks under supervision
Reliability and consistent attendance for scheduled shifts
Preferred Skills & Experience
Previous customer service and/or food service experience
Ability to perform simple calculations manually or using a calculator
Knowledge of food production and service procedures
Ability to delegate duties when necessary and maintain efficient workflow
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational ability and attention to detail
Understanding of proper body mechanics, safety practices, and infection control standards
Ability to follow instructions and adapt to departmental needs
