Role: Salesforce Configuration specialist
Location: 100% Remote
Duration: Long term contract
This role will focus on the following objectives:
• Act as a trusted partner to the business for Salesforce-related needs
• Translate business requirements into Salesforce configuration solutions
• Ensure high-quality data, usability, and compliance within Salesforce
• Provide ongoing support to end users and drive adoption of the platform
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Partner directly with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document Salesforce requirements
• Translate business needs into Salesforce configuration solutions, including:
o Objects, fields, page layouts, and record types
o Flows, workflow rules, validation rules, and approval processes
o Profiles, permission sets, and role hierarchy configuration
• Configure Salesforce Financial Services Cloud features to support business processes
• Perform impact analysis for requested changes and recommend best-practice configuration approaches
• Execute functional testing of configured solutions and support UAT with business users
• Support end users by troubleshooting issues, answering questions, and providing guidance on Salesforce usage
• Maintain system documentation, configuration standards, and release notes
• Support data quality initiatives, including data validation and cleanup efforts
• Participate in release planning and deploy configuration changes following established governance and change management processes
• Collaborate with technical teams when requirements exceed configuration and require custom development
QUALIFICATIONS
• 10+ years of experience working with Salesforce in a configuration-focused role (Administrator, Business Analyst, or Functional Consultant)
• Experience with Service Cloud or supporting an Operations function within a business (preferred)
• Strong experience gathering requirements directly from business stakeholders
• Hands-on experience configuring Salesforce without heavy reliance on custom code
• Solid understanding of Salesforce security and access controls (profiles, permission sets, sharing)
• Demonstrated ability to work directly with end users to provide support, training, and drive adoption in a production Salesforce environment
• Familiarity with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud is preferred
• Strong understanding of Salesforce data model concepts
• Experience working in Agile delivery models
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on usability and business outcomes
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
