Specific Responsibilities (Business)

  • Carry out analyses centered on business needs that will guide the solutions to be implemented, by documenting them in detail and by validating them continuously with business managers.

  • Identify client interface requirements such as display screens, reports or dashboards in order to meet business needs.

  • In collaboration with other analysts, designers and developers, identify and formalize business rules, transposition rules into systemic contexts or data transformation.

  • Identify and document processes to be updated and suggest improvements to simplify such processes and increase their efficiency.

  • Assist in defining functional, integration or acceptance testing plans and coordinate their execution in support of users.

  • Steer continuous improvement and development projects, sometimes as product owner (PO), while respecting administrative and technological constraints.

  • Act as intermediary between business teams and technical production team.

  • Contribute to the development and updating of the sector’s IT solutions development strategy.

Specific Responsibilities (IT)

  • Understand, analyze, document and support partners/users in clarifying their needs.

  • Perform complete, fully documented and substantiated analyses that are based on solid evidence.

  • Assist in defining the functions, services or technical elements required.

  • Assist in designing the solution in collaboration with the team while maintaining the “just enough – just in time” mentality using the best practices supported by the centres of excellence.

  • Participate in the development and application of functional rules, technical specifications, and solution design and delivery standards.

  • Actively contribute, with other experts in the sector, to the implementation of solutions and the execution of the following activities (examples): proof of concept and prototyping, various validations, workload assessment, testing strategies, testing, operations and user documentation, training and knowledge articles, etc.

  • Assist with or carry out testing at various levels of detail, both functional and technical, and support partners in this area.

  • Actively contribute to the maintenance of the documentation necessary for the sustainability of designed or current elements and to the IT asset development plans under the team’s responsibility.

  • Assist in monitoring, developing and supporting applications, systems and practices in the sector or field of expertise.

  • As needed, perform certain technical, development, configuration or quality assurance activities when required by the context.

  • Formulate professional opinions and make pragmatic recommendations in compliance with established standards, rules and guidelines.

  • Examine data and reports to identify underlying trends, major gaps and root causes of various issues.

  • Actively contribute to solving operational problems and proposing solutions to improve processes and methods.

  • Carry out duties and achieve the deliverables under personal responsibilities in collaboration with other stakeholders in the field or workgroup.

  • Support partners/users throughout the delivery process while guaranteeing the quality of the service provided.

  • Actively participate in all of the team’s activities (ceremony preparation, definition of done, etc.).

Desired Profile

  • Experience supporting regulatory projects in the wealth industry is an asset.

  • Strong analytical, processing, coordination and collaboration skills.

  • Good communication, writing and lay explanation skills as well as strong ability to transmit knowledge.

  • Basic experience with programming languages, databases or other technologies, depending on the context.

  • Familiarity with the software development life cycle (SDLC), DevOps and ITIL, and application of related best practices.

  • Ability to maintain healthy work relationships with stakeholders in various sectors and at various hierarchical levels.

  • Appreciation and promotion of internal partner/user contact.

  • Curiosity, autonomy, discipline and analytical thinking.

  • Desire to continue to learn.
