Title: Business Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced PIM Business Analyst / Functional Lead to bridge the gap between enterprise business stakeholders and technical execution teams. In this role, you will lead the discovery, definition, and validation of business requirements for our Product Information Management (PIM) ecosystem.

You will work directly with cross-functional teams (Merchandising, E-Commerce, Supply Chain, and IT) to translate business needs into actionable user stories and functional specifications across modern enterprise PIM platforms such as Salsify, Syndigo, 1WorldSync, Stibo STEP, or Akeneo.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering & Stakeholder Management

• Lead end-to-end business discovery sessions with business stakeholders across Product, Marketing, E-Commerce, and Supply Chain.
• Perform gap analyses between current-state processes/systems and future-state PIM architecture.
• Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders to prioritize business capabilities, data governance rules, and taxonomy requirements.

Business Requirements & Documentation

• Author comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), and product data flow diagrams.
• Translate complex business requirements into high-quality User Stories with clear Acceptance Criteria for Agile delivery teams.
• Map master data attributes, product taxonomies, assets, and channel syndication requirements (e.g., retail channels, Amazon, D2C sites).

Testing & Acceptance (UAT)

• Define and execute the end-to-end User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategy for PIM implementations and updates.
• Develop detailed UAT test plans, test cases, and scenario scripts aligned with business workflows.
• Coordinate business users through UAT execution, log/triage gaps and defects, and obtain final sign-off for deployment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Lead, or Systems Analyst specializing in enterprise PIM solutions.
• PIM Platform Expertise: Hands-on experience with at least one major PIM/Syndication platform:
  • Salsify, Syndigo, 1WorldSync, Stibo Systems (STEP), or Akeneo.
• Core Competencies:
  • Proven track record of leading discovery, conducting gap analysis, and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Demonstrated experience authoring BRDs, standard operating procedures, and technical user stories.
  • End-to-end experience leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles.
• Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of Product Master Data Management (MDM), product taxonomy, data modeling, digital asset management (DAM), and syndication feeds.
• Methodologies: Strong experience in Agile/Scrum environments (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
