Job Title: Testing Lead (MMIS)
Location: On-site – Pierre, South Dakota
Duration: 12 Months (June 1, 2026 – May 31, 2027)

Job Summary

The Department of Social Services (DSS) is seeking an experienced Testing Lead with strong expertise in Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS). The candidate will be responsible for designing test scenarios, executing testing activities, and collaborating with business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure system quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate testing efforts with project leads and IT teams
• Develop and document comprehensive test cases and scenarios
• Execute testing across multiple systems and track results
• Identify defects and support remediation activities
• Analyze system impacts across interconnected programs
• Maintain knowledge of business processes and system integrations
• Participate in research, planning, and implementation of system changes
• Support projects driven by federal regulations, state mandates, and policy updates
• Facilitate meetings and communicate testing outcomes
• Prepare reports and documentation of testing activities

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience working with Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to gather and interpret data effectively
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working with cross-functional teams (business & IT)
• Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Strong understanding of policies, regulations, and procedures
• Experience leading or facilitating meetings

Preferred Skills

• Experience in healthcare or government projects
• Knowledge of system integration testing
• Familiarity with compliance and regulatory environments
