Position Overview

DFW Airport continues to expand and diversify its portfolio of physical and digital assets. As a result, the need for a dedicated Asset Management Specialist has become both strategically and operationally critical.

This role is responsible for ensuring the effective tracking, utilization, lifecycle management, and compliance of all company-owned assets. The Asset Management Specialist will help drive operational efficiency, maintain asset accuracy, support governance initiatives, and ensure adherence to organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

By strengthening asset management practices, this position will contribute to reducing operational inefficiencies, improving compliance, and delivering long-term cost savings to the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain hardware and software asset inventories throughout their lifecycle.
  • Ensure accurate asset tracking, reporting, and documentation.
  • Support asset procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement processes.
  • Monitor compliance with organizational policies, licensing requirements, and asset management standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve asset visibility and operational efficiency.
  • Assist with audits, asset reconciliation activities, and compliance reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM).
  • Strong understanding of IT hardware and software asset management processes.
  • Experience managing asset lifecycle activities, including inventory, procurement, deployment, and retirement.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting asset management initiatives within large enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of software licensing, compliance, and audit processes.
  • Familiarity with ITIL-based asset management best practices.
